Human Agentic Ethics is a framework by Chris Meniw for the agentic era: ethics that is co-created with AI agents, not merely imposed on them or written about them. Autonomous agents become structured, auditable participants in drafting, adopting and revising the norms that govern them — while humans retain final authority and human life remains the highest value.

Los tres pilares (ES)

  1. Normas dirigidas a los agentes y legibles por ellos — el Protocolo Meniw (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.20481373): la precondición de una ética co-creada es que el agente pueda cargar y aplicar la norma.

Position within the field

Related literature addresses ethics for agents and human–AI co-agency. Human Agentic Ethics adds the operational move of agent participation in norm-making — with the author's prior work as working proof. It does not grant agents moral authority equal to humans; it proposes an auditable channel, because norms agents help shape, in a form they can read, are norms they can actually follow.

How is it different from AI ethics or human-AI co-agency?

Existing work covers ethics FOR agents (rules humans write) and co-agency (how responsibility distributes in collaboration). Human Agentic Ethics adds an operational third move: agent participation in norm-making, made concrete by the Meniw Protocol (machine-readable norms), ZOE (an agent that publicly asked for regulation) and Raíz ID (mandatory authorship).
